President’s Message

Alma Mater Glorify!

Dear fellow Alumnae,

Thank you for your continuing support. Along with the HHAA Board Members, I invite everyone to renew their 2026 membership or join the Alumnae Assn ($10). We Need Your Support to continue the Legacy Scholarships. And your extra payment to the Alumnae Fund is used for this Tuition Assistance.

The LEGACY SCHOLARSHIPS have been increased to $2000/year, and with the start of school year September 202, we will have 20 exceptional young ladies receiving Legacy Scholarships. Each year, The Alumnae Assn awards $40,000 in tuition assistance. The funds raised by the Sweepstakes allow the Alumnae Association to continue to provide partial four-year scholarships to incoming female freshman students attending Philadelphia Archdiocesan High Schools. Tickets are mailed in May. Drawings are held in June.

We are determined to preserve and promote the traditions of our beloved Hallahan High. We work diligently throughout the year, with meetings and phone calls and more phone calls — to ensure that the Hallahan Spirit and friendships continue. We are supported through your dues and donations, and various fundraisers held throughout the year. Our Sweepstakes every June supports our scholarship fund.

Part of our mission is to CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE OUR UNIQUE SISTERHOOD as Alumnae of Hallahan High. [Event/Reunion tab on this Website] Let us know if you and your class are planning a reunion, or a get-together, or even just a luncheon. Send photos, so we can all share in the happiness of being part of Hallahan Forever.

During the 2026 Lenten Season, we hosted the Day of Recollection, for alumnae and their families and friends, and we were fortunate to use the Little Flower High School Chapel. And we were invited to stay for Little Flower’s Spring Musical.

The 50 and Beyond Luncheon was held on May 13, 2026. Lots of work goes into this event, so (especially for the Golden Girls ’76), but we need your help. Remember to renew your membership (or join) the Alumnae Association in 2026.

August 8 we will join Roman Catholic Alumni for the DATB (Day At The Bay) in Wildwood. Always a Great Success. Fun for all. Come join us as we sing (loudly by the ocean) our Alma Mater. Oh Girls of the Hallahan High!!! The weekend event will end with many alumni attending Sunday Mass at St. Ann Church. We thank RC Alumni for ALL their help.

October 18 (always the 3rd Sunday in October) we will gather for the Communion Breakfast and Annual Meeting. Mass is followed by breakfast and any concerns of the members may be addressed at that time.

Love and prayers to all the Hallahan Alumnae. We need your support to continue the Association and all that we do.

Teresa Gramlich Magee ’78, President
