Welcome to the John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School Alumnae Association
Dear fellow Hallahan Alumnae,
It was with a heavy heart that I heard the news about our beloved Alma Mater. Since 1901, John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School has been educating young women of faith, purpose and vision. We were blessed to walk those hallowed halls, forming lifelong friendships while receiving a world class education. My prayers include all of our sister graduates, but most especially the young ladies who must finish their high school education elsewhere. May they find peace in these turbulent times.
Let a flood tide of song from our hearts pour along, O girls of the Hallahan High.
Alma Mater Glorify!
Sincerely,
Cathy Warner Santos ’78
President, Hallahan Alumnae Association
Important Message:
Many of us still grieve the loss of our foundation, but our memories, our legacy, love and loyalty for our Alma Mater live on in our hearts. Our Lady of Hallahan now stands proudly at the Basilica and is a visual reminder of what remains from our high school days. It’s time to honor her and let others know just what Our Lady of Hallahan means to every girl who wore the uniform.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:15 A.M., the Class of 1973, supported by the Alumnae, will host a Plaque and Pedestal Dedication to Our Lady of Hallahan at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul at Logan Circle. The event will be followed by pictures at the fountain. Parking is available.
Let’s come together and celebrate our legacy, Our Lady of Hallahan. With your attendance and prayerful support, we can send the message: WE ARE STILL HERE. WE ARE STILL HALLAHAN STRONG.

We’re still here for you
With the closure of Hallahan, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure every graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School that, as an organization separate from the school, the Alumnae Association will continue to exist to promote the social, intellectual and spiritual needs of its members. We will continue to support educational opportunities for students who have a family member who graduated from Hallahan, and to support charitable endeavors.
As Covid restrictions continue to be lifted, our goal is also to provide new and exciting opportunities for gathering with our former classmates. Please check our website often, and be sure to check the fall edition of the Silver Echo for updated information.
Any alumna who would like to become a member is encouraged to do so! For more information contact the Hallahan Alumnae Office office by phone or email; we would love to have new members engage in solidifying theAlumnae Association’s role as the primary stewards of the unique legacy of our beloved Alma Mater.
